Cactus Wren Little League Receives $15,000 Grant from Fiesta Sports Foundation
CACTUS WREN LITTLE LEAGUE – August 2025
Cactus Wren Little League is proud to announce that our league has been awarded a
$15,000 grant from the Fiesta Sports Foundation as part of their
Growing the Game: Field Safety and Access Project.
This incredible support will allow us to purchase and install new sod on three of our existing
fields at the Cactus Wren complex, creating safer, stronger, and more enjoyable playing
surfaces for all of our youth athletes. The project will be completed during the off-season,
ensuring our players return to upgraded fields next season.
The Fiesta Sports Foundation’s mission is to enhance organizations that contribute to the
success of their communities through youth, sports, and education. Through proceeds from
the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, the Rate Bowl, and other community events, the Foundation
supports nonprofits across Arizona that create meaningful impact through their programs.
For the 2025–26 grant cycle, the Fiesta Sports Foundation awarded funding to
16 Arizona nonprofit organizations, providing resources for youth sports,
education, and community wellness. Collectively, these grants will positively impact
more than 1 million Arizonans throughout the state.
We are truly grateful to the Fiesta Sports Foundation for investing in the future of our
league and supporting the next generation of Cactus Wren ballplayers. This partnership helps
us continue to grow the game, strengthen our community, and provide a safe and positive
environment for every child who steps onto our fields.
A heartfelt thank-you to the Fiesta Sports Foundation for their generosity, and to all the
families, volunteers, and community members who make Cactus Wren Little League such a
special place to play baseball!
